Prosaw Ltd was established in 1963 to specialise in metal sawing machinery including material measuring and handling systems. Prosaw are one of the UK's leading suppliers of all types of metal cutting bandsaws, circular saws, materials handling and other sawing machinery. Prosaw Ltd are members of the Manufacturing Technologies Association.
Prosaw are located centrally in the United Kingdom and serves the whole of the U.K. and Eire from it's 35,000 sq.ft. base along with service engineers throughout the country. To demonstrate a large representative selection of the Prosaw range of over 200 models, a 5,000 sq. ft. demonstration showroom is available for customers to visit. The showroom sawing machines are readily available for demonstrations including test cutting and evaluation.
The company's range of machines extends from simple manual operation through to semi-automatic, automatic, full CNC and special purpose, with models suitable for all machineable ferrous and non-ferrous metals, including many non-metal materials.
Standard machine capacities range from the smallest section up to 2500mm diameter solid, 1500mm wide structural sections and 6,000mm plates.
Prosaw are sole U.K. sales and servicing agents for some of the worlds leading sawing machine manufacturers, including Akyapak, Altech, BAUER, BOMAR, DANOBAT, GEKA, ILERI TEKNIK, MEGA, Metlsaw, O.M.P., PERTICI, REIMU, TCI WATERJET CUTTING MACHINES, TYRO and Waytrain.
Due to this large and comprehensive range of machinery our specialist sales personnel are able to offer a solution to virtually any sawing application and recommend the right machine for the right job and/or budget limitations.
To support this range, Prosaw operate with a large team of directly employed service engineers, with many years experience of metal sawing. The team of field based engineers together with Kettering based engineers, machine tool fitters and technical support staff are, we believe, the largest in our sector of the industry, in the U.K.
In addition to responding to normal call out service requests, we also operate service contract schemes, which are designed to keep machines operating at maximum efficiency for a modest cost.
Service contract customers enjoy the further benefits of priority breakdown response and discounts on service charges and spares.
Prosaw has always placed great emphasis on supplying spare parts for bandsaws "off the shelf" wherever practicable, to the extent that our large, computerised stores carry over 2,500 individual items in varying quantities.
Our Service Engineers additionally carry within their vehicles, boxes of emergency spares for specific machines. The content of these boxes has evolved over years of experience, to the extent that the vast majority of machine problems can be satisfactorily resolved on the first visit. To request spare parts please contact us via our enquiry form.
The saw is generally an important part of the manufacturing process, often the first machining operation, on which further machining processes depend.
Prosaw have recognised that machines are often operated inefficiently, ineffectively and uneconomically through lack of operator/maintenance training.
Huge savings and improvements in efficiency can be realised through correct blade selection, speeds, feeds, cutting media, etc. and basic machine maintenance.
Our training school programmes are generally regarded as the best available. They are open to any sawing machine user regardless of make of machine and is not restricted to Prosaw customers.
Training courses range from basic one day sessions to fully customised events at very reasonable cost.
